Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some frequently asked questions we get about our online courses and certifications.
Do I have to fill out the Registration form?
In order to offer you the great pricing we have for our online
courses and certifications, the State of North Carolina requires some
information from you. When you sign up for a Career Step, JER, or
UGotClass course offering, the secure registration form is all you need.
Ed2go preregisters you on their site then you will need to fill out
PCC's secure registration form. It is available on
the website and is also emailed automatically to you when you sign up.
**Please note that your social security number is not required.
What are my payment options?
Ed2go offers online payment.
All other courses can be paid with a Visa or MasterCard when you fill
out the secure registration form.
You can mail checks or money orders to:
Piedmont Community College
105 N. Main Street
Roxboro, NC 27573
You can also call payment in to (336) 599-0032.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for courses are made as follows: 100% if requested before a
course begins or if the course is cancelled; 75% if requested after a
course begins but before the second class is made available. Please note
that for purposes of refunds, the official start date of the course is
used regardless of the date you register. This policy is dictated by the
North Carolina Legislature so we do not have flexibility in complying
with it.
How is taking an Internet course different from classroom instruction?
In today's fast-paced world, many of us find
it difficult to take time away from work and family to attend school.
One of the primary advantages of our Internet workshops is that you can
"attend class" in the comfort and convenience of your own home and
office. All you have to do is log into your online classroom when you
are good and ready to read your lessons, complete your quizzes and
assignments, or communicate with your instructor and fellow students.
Our Internet courses fit into your schedule: you can take them before
breakfast, during lunch, late at night, or at any other time you find
convenient--the choice is yours!
I do not live in North Carolina. Can I still take these courses?
Students from anywhere can take everything except Career Step (which is available to NC residents only).
